AnimeCon is organised by the J-POP Foundation, a non-profit organisation run entirely by dedicated volunteers. None of our board members earn any money from organising the festival. Bringing AnimeCon to life takes an incredible amount of work, made possible by an even larger team of amazing volunteers who lend us their time, energy and passion.

Volunteering isn't the only way to help us out. The goal of AnimeCon and the J-POP Foundation is to promote Japanese popular culture in the broadest sense of the word. This isn't just fun, it also engages, grows and accelerates interest in anime and Japanese culture in the Netherlands and surrounding countries, which directly benefits communities, organisations and businesses sharing our vision.

Please consider supporting us financially. We  do not want to organize just a large dealer room, but organising a large and diverse festival with lectures, workshops, cosplay and music acts such as AnimeCon costs a lot of money, which is something we could never do if we were profit oriented. With your help, we can continue organising the festival, keeping it accessible and affordable for everyone.

Now this is embarrassing, but we are still working on implementing a standard pledge system. However this takes some administrative work.
