You can, but we can also scan your ticket on your phone. Be sure to have your ticket ready and your phone brightness on high.

Entering your real name is needed to prevent fraud (for example, in case you lose your ticket). It is also needed to identify you for 18+ events.

For some visitors we get a printed badge with a name, but then we print your first name or a nickname you chose instead of your full name. (If you cannot enter a nickname, we will not print your name on any badge.)

We check for the appropriate age at those specific events, and in general it’s not allowed to put things like that on display for minors to see. We will also adhere to and enforce NIX18, and our staff and security personnel will make sure that adult content is unavailable for those who are underage.

No. You can pay with cash or debit card if the shop accepts it (and there are shops who accept credit cards as well, but keep in mind that our country isn’t very credit card-minded). We used to have a token-system in place, but that was many years ago, and we only use those within our organisation these days.

As stated earlier, AnimeCon is a safe place for everyone. That said, do keep in mind that some events, like concerts or dance parties, might utilise flashing lights and effects.
If that’s the case, there will be a warning at the door, and we advise your child to avoid the aforementioned events.

No problem. People are allowed to carry a bag for meds or other convenient items. We expect the owner of said bag to take care of their belongings. You can request a Bag Permit at the Registration Desk during the festival.

The Volmerlaan is a quiet bit of road, especially during the weekend. There’s a free parking nearby, and you are able to drop people off near the entrance to the festival. That said, De Broodfabriek is very accessible by public transport.

If that’s the case, please contact us. Do keep in mind that we will be quite busy building the show in the week before the festival. Therefore we might not be able to react swiftly, or at all, and we ask you to take this into account.
